Sunpeak Construction worked on excavation, testing, remediation, and hauling of impacted soil remediation in Ontario. This land on Chino Ave was an old dairy farm that has been vacant for over 10 years.
Sunpeak Construction was retained by GSI Environmental to excavate, stockpile & provide samples for testing by Positive Lab Service. After submitting Traffic Control Plan, IRM, Safety Plan, FRP, and Hauling Plans to the City of Ontario, appropriate permits such as excavation, grading, encroachment & hauling permits were obtained.
Sunpeak Construction complied with all 1466 AQMD Rules & Regulations and SWPPP such as providing rock base and Rumble Plates at entry area, installing a fence with windscreen fabrics, dust monitoring equipment, installing Straw Wattle around storm drains for Best Management Practices and temporary water to control fugitive dust during digging & loading operations. After obtaining approvals from SCAQMD & DTSC, Sunpeak proceeded with excavation & hauling. Most impacted soils that were deemed hazardous were hauled to the Environmental Waste Solutions landfill facility in Parker South, Arizona.
All excavated areas were backfilled for safety. Nick Azartash, President of Sunpeak Construction believes there are many similar projects in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties requiring similar soil remediation in order to obtain clearance for new real estate development and Sunpeak Construction has all the right credentials, training, experience and manpower to do this work.
