Los Alamitos Surgery Center aka Reagan Surgery Center is a 2-Story 12,400 SQFT building with OSHPD Standards, 3 Operatory Rooms, and Recovery Area for 6 patients located in Los Angeles County, next to Los Alamitos Hospital, Los Alamitos, California.

This 2-Story type II Concrete, Masonry and Structural Steel Fire-Rated Building has a beautiful check-in area, pre-op & post-up areas, waiting room along with medical offices, exam rooms, ADA restroom facilities, storages, and 2 ADA Thyssenkrupp Elevators, one of which is Fire Marshal Approved Gurney Accessible for patients and emergency situations.

Second Floor is built with Robertson Decking over steel beams and 4-Inch Light Weight Concrete and all Structural steel are covered with Monokote Fireproofing materials and wrapped with Fire-Rated Type X GYP Board, the combination of which provides a 4-Hour Fire Separation with Parking below.

The entire facility has a Backup Emergency Generator with Automatic Transfer Switch that would prevent any power interruptions in case of a power outage.

Metal Studs used for the construction of this building were LEED Compliant recycled metals.

The exterior façade of Reagan Surgery Center has 20/30 Smooth Sand Finish Plaster over Exterior Dense Glass / Fiberglass Mat Gypsum Wall Sheathing and Grace Bitutane Waterproofing Membrane with dual glazed insulated Low E Glass and the roof is covered with 3-ply waterproofing system over Rigid Insulation and covered with Title 24 White Roof Cap Sheets.

A combination of the construction of exterior walls and roofing system would make this building energy efficient & is considered Green.

According to Dr. Simon Rayhanabad, currently, Reagan Surgery Center is handling about 500 outpatient surgeries per month.
