Sunpeak Construction was retained by Darvish Investment Group to prepare a building pad, parking lot & underground utilities for Arby’s Restaurant next to Starbucks in Cedar Plaza Town Center in Rialto. Sunpeak Construction worked with the City of Rialto Engineering & Building Departments to facilities all necessary permits to perform this work.
Asphalt Paving, Seal Coating, Pavement Markings, and ADA signs/Ramps/Path of travel.
The project consisted of excavation, grading, and compaction of building pad and parking areas, trenching for underground utilities, UG piping, installation of a 1,500-Gallon Jensen Concrete Precast Grease Interceptor with test chamber, installation of parking lot light poles on concrete light stands, curbs, swales, sidewalk, decorative pavers, asphalt paving, ADA path of travel, ADA Ramps, seal coating, pavement markings, and ADA signs.
All areas were excavated & compacted to over 95% Relative Compaction, tested and approved by Geotechnical Engineer and City of Rialto Inspectors, then all underground utilities were connected and UG tanks were installed, and all trenches were inspected, compacted, and approved for cover.
After receiving all approvals, site concrete such as curbs, sidewalks, ADA Ramps with Truncated Domes was installed which was followed by asphalt paving over CMB Class II for drive-thru lane & parking lot, seal coating, pavement marking & ADA Signs. Light poles were installed on top of concrete light stands and properly dry-packed with non-shrink grout. A portion of the drive-thru lane & areas surrounding the grease interceptor were covered with black concrete.
Sunpeak Construction complied with all 1466 AQMD Rules & Regulations and SWPPP such as providing dust monitoring during the excavation, trenching, grading & compaction installing Straw Wattle around construction area and storm drains for Best Management Practices, and temporary water to control fugitive dust during digging, loading, and hauling operations. All excavated areas were protected with barricades per OSHA Standards and then property backfilled for safety.
